Promoting Computational Research for Sustainable Energy at INRS
Organizer: Prof. Kulbir Ghuman (INRS)

The INRS-EMT campus hosted the inaugural CEMDI Seminar Day on March 16, 2022, bringing together renowned researchers in computational chemistry and physics, material science, and artificial intelligence focusing on developing sustainable energy technologies to fight climate change.
This one-day event yielded several significant outcomes: promoting computational research activities at INRS, providing exposure to highly qualified personnel (HQP) at INRS-EMT, and creating collaboration opportunities. Influential experts from CEA France, McGill, NRC, PRIMA, Concordia University, Mila, UQTR, and Université de Montréal visited the center — some for the first time — presented talks and learned about ongoing activities.
INRS-EMT students not only presented talks but also actively participated, enthusiastically engaging in discussions with the esteemed speakers. The event brought together a diverse community of scholars, creating an environment conducive to interdisciplinary exchanges and potential partnerships.
